FREELANCE WEB DESIGN
Mate
Food for Thought
Mate, check it out! Kevin Gee, a nutritionist from Brisbane, Australia, has started his own gig:
Mate Food for Thought.
He’s tapped me to rustle up a top-notch logo and website for his fresh new venture.
Kevin was aiming for an authentically Aussie brand. His core values were all about being fair dinkum, easygoing, and not passing judgment.
Seeing that his competitors were all leaning towards plant-based logos, I convinced Kevin to take a different tack: we put the focus on „Mate,“ the quintessentially Australian term of mate ship and camaraderie.
The Logo
What could be more Aussie than a koala, right?
In leveraging the iconic Australian imagery of a koala, I conceived a logo design that ingeniously incorporates the negative space of the „a“ in „Mate.“ This resulted in a playful yet sophisticated depiction of a koala nestled within the lettering. This approach seamlessly integrates quintessential Australian elements with the essence of Kevin’s brand identity, reflecting his commitment to authenticity and resonance with his target audience.
The Feel
Kevin’s website embodies the relaxed, approachable, and non-judgmental tone he requested. The language maintains an easygoing demeanor while staying aligned with his Australian brand identity. Kevin positions himself as a trusted companion in navigating nutrition. With a focus on engaging young adults in their 20s and 30s, the website’s aesthetic and language resonate with this demographic, creating a professional yet relatable platform.
Additional HTML code
To enhance the visibility of the contact button on the website and make it more eye-catching, I implemented additional code within the child theme using HTML5 and CSS3. This ensured that the button stands out prominently, drawing users‘ attention and encouraging interaction.
